Breaking Ground

Dear friends,

The dental-medical clinic is started! The pictures show the foundation being dug, the footings poured, and the stem wall being set. There were about 15 men on the job so the progress is evident. What was once only a dream is now coming out of the ground and taking form. Partners like you make dreams a reality. Almost everyone I speak to predicts it will be a busy place serving the community for miles around.

The work on the secondary classrooms started as soon as the children were finished with Term 1. The counters around 3 sides of the science room were formed and rebar was tied. Then 8 sinks were set in the counter top as concrete was poured.

At the same time, electricians were wiring rooms with lights, plug ins, and fans and the plumbers were working on drains and water supply.

Tile has been laid in the head teacher's room, staff room, entry, secretary's room, and science room. Classes resumed as soon as the rooms were ready. The tile is great and the counters are looking ready for use.  Another week and I think the last details will be done!

Also, what a blessing to have the road to the town office get worked on so it is smooth and wonderful - It is such a help.

Keep us in your prayers - this is an exciting time!
